brent wear makes wonderful characters
Wednesday, November 19, 2008
a few years ago, i fell in love with a quirky painting of a dark bird on a bright yellow background by brent wear. i should have bought it then, as it soon sold and i have longed for it ever since. yet, brent still does wonderful work and has continued his bird series, which of course has evolved. see his portfolio here and visit his etsy shop here.
brent is just one of the talented gang of 30 artists showing and selling this friday and saturday at the pretty girl holiday gift show. (link to details in the side bar) i'm excited to see all the treasures he will bring and maybe, who knows? my heart will fall again...
Pretty Girl Holiday Show
Tuesday, November 18, 2008

this weekend officially kicks off my holiday season, with the 10th annual pretty girl holiday show and sale! it's a wonderful collection of artists and designers with something for just about anyone you may have on your holiday gift list (including yourself!). i will be there with all my inventory from both shops, in my booth the whole time, so if you are in portland this weekend, please stop by, say hi and enjoy some lovely shopping. all the details right here.
i really appreciate your support this holiday season, as this economic crunch takes the heaviest toll on those of us on the bottom of the retail ladder. handmade goods make the very best presents!
